As he stepped into the resplendent hall, the butler approached with respectful words, “Welcome home…” But before he could finish, Han made a silent gesture, and the butler immediately closed his mouth, understanding. With affectionate eyes, he gazed at Xiao in Han’s arms—how fortunate the young lady was! Yet, she truly was someone worthy of such tenderness.

Quietly, the butler followed Han up the stairs, ascending the glittering crystal spiral staircase. They stopped outside Xiao’s room, where the butler stepped forward, opening the door for Han, then retreated to the side, awaiting further instructions.

Han gently laid Xiao on the bed, tucked her in carefully, and softly stroked her hair. Tomorrow, Xiao would leave for military training—half a month, neither long nor short. Yet, this would be the first time she’d be away from him for so many days. Everything needed to be prepared perfectly. He gazed at her deeply, moved to the bedside, and opened her suitcase. Its contents unfolded before him: a medical kit, athletic wear, socks, warm gear—everything was ready.

He checked and rechecked the essentials. Once certain nothing was missing, Han closed the suitcase, returned it to its place, and after one last look at the sleeping Xiao, quietly left the room. He closed the door softly behind him. Not intending to return to his own quarters, Han went downstairs to the bathing chamber, where a natural hot spring awaited.

Steam slowly drifted through the air, and beside the pool stood a water station. Overhead hung a giant television, allowing one to watch while soaking in the bath—an absolute pleasure. Han shed his clothes and entered the hot spring. His well-trained physique revealed evenly distributed muscles across his abdomen, eight impressive abs, and a graceful Adonis belt. He was not the bulky, muscular type; rather, he appeared somewhat slender, but in a way that was just right.

With clothes on, if not for his towering height of one hundred ninety centimeters, one might mistake him for a youth in his teens. His perfect figure, handsome features, and the regal aura he exuded were enough to tempt anyone into transgression. After a long soak, Han emerged from the spring, his hand running through his wet, short hair with a charming, elegant motion—though, alas, no one was there to witness it.

He went to the water station, poured a glass, and drank deeply. “Ah!” He lowered his head with a soft sigh. Then, he walked to the shower; water cascaded from his head, flowing down his body. The coolness momentarily freed him from worries as he slowly washed himself.

After a time, he emerged from the bathhouse dressed in casual attire. The butler stood respectfully nearby. “Young master, shall I prepare refreshments for you now?”

Waiting for Han’s reply, Han pushed his hair upward and answered coldly, “No need! I’m going out. Remember to send Xiao to school on time tomorrow.”

With that, he had already grabbed his car keys and headed out. Only after sitting in the car did he recall that his female companions had already been sent away. Frustrated, he rubbed his forehead and lightly struck the steering wheel. Furious, he muttered, “Damn!”

In truth, Han was never short of women, but Xiao’s words recently forced him to reorganize them. He never lacked female company, but anyone daring to cross his boundaries would be destroyed without hesitation. Disobedient women were not needed. He had been too busy to seek others lately, so tonight he would have to spend his time elsewhere.

After brooding in the car for a while, he finally decided to visit his friend. Once resolved, he adjusted his route and drove toward his only friend’s bar.

When it came to friends, Han had but one. Since kindergarten, the two had been classmates. Han was aloof by nature, always acting beyond the norm.
