A Day Out in the City
Perhaps it is only when one encounters their destined person that such emotions are stirred. At that moment, inside the fitting room, Xiao pressed her hands to her chest, feeling her heart racing wildly, completely out of control.
It was all Ouyang Qianyu’s fault! How could he make such jokes for no reason? And what was worse was that she actually felt her heart flutter. How ridiculous!
After closing her eyes to calm herself for a while, Xiao changed back into her own clothes. She opened the door, walked out, and returned to her brother’s side.
Han looked at Xiao gently. “Why not try on some of the other outfits?”
Xiao pouted in displeasure, glancing at her brother. “No need. They’re all the same size, so they’ll all fit anyway.”
Han gazed at his sister. Although he didn’t know what Yu had said to her just now, as long as Xiao was happy, that was enough. With this thought, he turned and instructed the attendant to wrap up all the clothes.
He took out his wallet, ready to pay, when someone beat him to it. A black card was handed to the cashier before he could act. Han turned his head, fixing his gaze on Yu.
Although Yu’s expression was blank, Han could sense the sincerity in his gesture. So rather than stopping him, Han simply took the receipt and filled in their home address, so the attendant could deliver everything to their house.
Xiao Ai and the others exchanged glances, not sure what to say. But what truly surprised them was the black card in Yu’s hand—a privilege not granted to just anyone! It made them realize just how wealthy Yu must be. To think they had been worried for nothing!
After all this commotion, the others had completely lost interest in shopping. Once Yu finished all the formalities, the group of handsome men and beautiful women left the clothing store in grand fashion.
Xiao Ai noticed that Xiao didn’t seem inclined to leave just yet. Curious, she asked, “Are you guys going anywhere else?”
Xiao continued walking ahead, eyes drifting over the stores along the way, not really paying attention to Xiao Ai’s question. Instead, Meng turned around and answered gently, “We’re going to the cinema now.”
Hearing this, Xiao Ai lit up with excitement—there had been so many good movies lately, and she’d been wanting to go! She looked at her brother with longing in her eyes.
Dongfang Shuo smiled warmly, “If you want to go, let’s go.” At his words, Xiao Ai jumped up in delight, hugging her brother, her eyes curving into crescents with her smile.
Since it was the weekend, the place was crowded, with people going back and forth, but that didn’t stop Xiao from admiring her surroundings.
Except for the pet store, she wished she could browse through all the other shops. But because of time constraints, she couldn’t visit them all today.
The reason she avoided pet stores wasn’t a fear of animals, but because she was allergic to animal fur, so she kept her distance.
With everyone in agreement, the group cheerfully made their way toward the cinema. Under the radiant summer sun, the handsome men and beautiful women seemed like deities descended among mortals, making passersby feel their outing was truly worthwhile. Some even surreptitiously took out their phones to capture this rare sight.
Noticing this, Han moved to Xiao’s right, shielding her from those trying to take photos. At the same time, Yu stepped to her left, the two of them flanking her and blocking others’ view. Hui and Shuo protected the other girls, preventing any mischief. Together, they walked into a cinema, which turned out to be quite a unique place.
