Fight

It seemed she was almost the most leisurely and happiest person! All of her comfortable life was earned through the hard work and sweat of her parents and brother. Thinking back now, she did nothing every day.
Clothed and fed without lifting a finger, adorned in fine clothes and gourmet meals, with someone always attending to her. Yet those girls had nothing, endless chores daily, and the constant worry of being scolded! Compared to them, she was truly fortunate!
She only knew how to stay at home, sometimes even causing her brother a heap of trouble. Just the thought made her feel ashamed. She resolved to behave and help lighten her brother’s burden when she returned, though she wasn’t sure how much help she could offer.
Still, she wanted to contribute a little to her family—though she wasn’t certain how long this resolve would last. Finally, after they shared their grievances, the girls packed up and prepared to leave.
Seeing Shangguan Xiao still sitting motionless, they said to her, “Shangguan, we should head back now!”
Shangguan Xiao remained seated, not even looking up, and said, “You go ahead. I need to rest a little longer. I’ll go back on my own later.”
Exhausted to the point of death, she stubbornly refused to get up during this rare rest time. Hmph! She must rest thoroughly. Though the girls were somewhat worried, since she insisted on staying, they had no reason to oppose.
So, they reminded her once more, “Make sure to keep track of time and come back early. And be careful alone!”
Shangguan Xiao rolled her eyes and responded dismissively, “I know!”
The girls, carrying their things, kept looking back as they walked down the hillside toward where they cooked. Shangguan Xiao sat on the ground, gazing at the azure sky, slowly relaxing and taking a deep breath. Sigh! She truly missed home now.
She wondered how her brother was doing—did he think of her? After a long while, she leisurely stood up, holding a dry branch, humming a tune, feeling fairly cheerful.
Before reaching her class area, she heard loud quarrels from afar. What was going on now? Why was there always trouble every day? She wanted nothing more than to slap those people senseless!
Determined to put a stop to their arrogance, she hurried toward the noise. As expected, it was that wretched Li Yaorao—this time, with backup.
She rolled her eyes toward the sky and suppressed the urge to kill. Pretending casual indifference, she walked over and mocked coldly, “Oh? I thought it was some mad dog barking early in the morning! Looks like Miss Li’s up to her usual bullying again!”
Leaning against the wall, Shangguan Xiao lazily stared at them. They were truly a perfect match for each other. Indeed, these words were not an exaggeration!
Looking at them, their chins practically reached the sky, their haughty demeanor was revolting. Poor appearances aside, they always relied on their family wealth to stir up trouble. Just seeing them made Shangguan Xiao lose her appetite—she wondered if she could even eat now.
Though not born of the same mother, they looked like biological sisters. Two words: pretentious! She wished she could knock them out cold, stuff them in a sack, and throw them into the sea!
That would teach them a lesson in arrogance! Probably, they’d drown before even opening their mouths. The more she thought about it, the more it seemed doable—but only in imagination. Throwing them into the sea would be murder, punishable by death. She didn’t want to ruin her life over a few trashy girls.
The girls overheard Shangguan Xiao audaciously mocking them as mad dogs. How infuriating! Could this be the Shangguan Xiao Li Yaorao had mentioned? That arrogant look confirmed it.

The taller girl approached Shangguan Xiao, coldly scrutinizing her before disdainfully asking, “So you’re Shangguan Xiao?”
Shangguan Xiao ignored her entirely and walked past.
For the first time, someone ignored her! The girl, furious, exploded with rage. She had been told by Li Yaorao that Shangguan Xiao was arrogant and detestable, but she had doubted it.
Now, it seemed Li Yaorao’s words were true! This girl needed a lesson! Without hesitation, she reached out to strike.
Sensing movement behind her, Shangguan Xiao tilted her head slightly and easily dodged the attack. The girl, undeterred, swiftly swept her leg toward Shangguan Xiao’s face, then turned to grab her foot.
With a fierce throw, “Bang!” the girl was flung to the ground. Reluctantly, she scrambled up. How infuriating! Since she began martial arts training, no one had ever beaten her.
Since earning her black belt from red, she had found no worthy opponent. Yet now, Shangguan Xiao effortlessly dodged and threw her down! The thought made her even more resentful as she prepared to strike again.
Suddenly, a female voice called out, “Xiaoyue, stop! Haven’t you realized you’re no match for her?”
Though still unwilling, the tall girl named Lin Yue complied and returned to her friends.
Before leaving, they arrogantly said, “Hmph! Consider yourself lucky this time. Next time, you won’t be so fortunate!”
Then, tails tucked, they fled.
After walking some distance, Lin Yue—heiress of the Lin conglomerate—looked at her companion, who also served as her strategist, puzzled.
Liang Yiyi spoke coldly, “Didn’t you notice? She’s wearing a well-known international brand. That outfit is one of a kind worldwide.”
Hearing this, Lin Yue was surprised. Liang Yiyi’s family specialized in fashion retail, so she knew her facts.
Only someone with considerable status could afford such clothes! Even Lin Yue herself couldn’t buy such attire. This revealed the vastness of Shangguan Xiao’s family background.
Fortunately, they hadn’t been too harsh on her, so there shouldn’t be major issues.
Lin Yue realized she had nearly been ruined by Li Yaorao. Thankfully, Liang Yiyi was there; otherwise, she would have gotten herself into serious trouble.
She glared furiously at Li Yaorao, who understood how formidable her enemies were.
The clothes alone were worth millions—no coincidence or gifts. Just how powerful was the family behind her?
Now, Li Yaorao was genuinely anxious, waving her hands desperately, “I had no idea she was so strong! I thought no one in Class F had anything good. Who knew her background was so huge? Please believe me!”
Judging by her panic, they knew Li Yaorao wasn’t lying. Yet, offending someone without knowing their identity was reckless.
Clearly, Li Yaorao had lost her usefulness. Her position as chairwoman was likely in jeopardy.
They decided to keep their distance to avoid being dragged down with her and regretting it.
Resolutely, the two coldly told Li Yaorao, “From today on, don’t come looking for us again!”
Without looking back, they left.
Li Yaorao watched their retreating figures in disbelief, her mind in turmoil but afraid to ask why—the gulf between them was too great.

She knew she absolutely couldn’t disobey, or she’d plunge into an abyss.
Resigned, she obeyed and cut ties with them. If her mother found out, she was doomed.
In the end, it was all caused by Li Xiuxiu’s troublemaking. Now, with the mysterious Shangguan Xiao protecting her, she kept offending people and became isolated.
Reflecting on her past actions, she felt her future was bleak. Meanwhile, her resentment toward Shangguan Xiao intensified rapidly, her reason inflamed to the extreme, her eyes filled with malice.
Clenching her fists tightly, she refused to believe someone from Class F could have such a background.
With a flick of her sleeve, she stormed back to the dorm.
Several girls surrounded Shangguan Xiao, worry etched on their faces: “Shangguan, are you okay?”
Still squinting at the three departing girls, Shangguan Xiao answered without turning, “I’m fine.”
They hesitated, nudging each other, unsure how to tell her that those two were scarier than Li Yaorao.
Among the school’s students this year, those two ranked very high in family status.
Since the school’s founding, they’d kept rankings of students’ family backgrounds.
Though unknown to most, these two were infamous for their ruthless methods. They were said to be killers without a trace—that was them.
Now Shangguan Xiao had offended them and fought with Lin Yue. No one knew how Lin Yue and Liang Yiyi would deal with her.
The girls felt guilty; if not for their words, Shangguan Xiao wouldn’t have angered such devilish people.
Noticing the unusual silence around her, Shangguan Xiao turned to appraise them.
Honestly, why did Li Yaorao always seem to pick on Xiuxiu? Could it be because Xiuxiu had stepped on her shoe before and she held a grudge?
If so, Li Yaorao was really petty!
Concerned, she asked the quiet group, “Are you all okay? Why did they pick on you?”
That was her main concern! Who would cause trouble without reason? They must be itching for a fight.
Seeing Shangguan Xiao oblivious to the seriousness, the girls couldn’t contain their anger.
Although she had offended those two because of them, someone so unaware of offending others was truly infuriating.
If Shangguan Xiao kept this up, she’d easily be targeted by those two.
Desperate, they didn’t care if she got upset and spoke bluntly, “Seriously! Don’t you know you’re up against the most terrifying people in school?”
