This is where the book ends. My apologies.
This book hasn’t turned out well, so I won’t be continuing it.
Initially, I intended to take a different approach with the plot, but the results were disappointing. At around thirty thousand words, I had no choice but to forcefully change direction, abandoning the previous outline and reworking the concept from scratch.
However, the more I wrote, the more awkward it became—like a mismatched, cobbled-together monster, leaving me extremely uncomfortable. I believe most readers who have followed along probably feel the same: it’s not terrible, but it’s not particularly exciting or gripping either.
The core sense of anticipation never really took shape, the first thirty thousand words were scattered, and the following chapters couldn’t save it despite my efforts. The story lacks both the thrill and intrigue it should have; overall, it’s simply too mediocre. Without a strong central hook, failure was inevitable.
In short, to keep writing would be disrespectful to you all.
I’ll take some time to rest before the New Year, and if inspiration strikes, perhaps I’ll start a new book afterward. If fate allows, we’ll meet again.
Additionally, any rewards will be refunded. For larger contributions, I recognize the longtime supporters. Smaller amounts are harder to identify, but you may contact me privately via the old book’s reader group.
That’s all for now. Let me wish everyone a Happy New Year in advance.
“With this, ‘Lord of the Demonic Path: I Can Create Monsters’ comes to an end. My apologies.”
