Chapter 86: The Sorcerer Beast (Fourth Update)

Wizard Beast, a demon-type digital species, a mature-stage Digimon, whose special move is [Thundercloud]. In truth, it is a superior demon Digimon from an alternate dimension, aiming to become a grand mage.

Despite being attacked by Wizard Beast, Beast’s face was filled with delight. His fear was not of facing Wizard Beast’s attacks, but rather of not encountering Wizard Beast at all.

Lightning struck down toward him, but Beast’s Demon King Will met it with a punch, shattering the bolt instantly. Then, Demon King Will transformed into wings, carrying Beast into the air, and his silhouette appeared instantly before Wizard Beast.

Finally, Demon King Will once again took human form and struck Wizard Beast with a fierce punch, causing Wizard Beast to dissolve into something like foam. Clearly, it was only a phantom.

Afterward, Beast suddenly noticed two Wizard Beasts fleeing in different directions. Whether they were two separate creatures or Wizard Beast and a clone, he could not tell.

On the spot, Wizard Beast was sliced into a mass of foam-like substance. It was a clone, and a feeble one at that. Not only was it useless in battle, it couldn’t even escape swiftly. Nevertheless, Beast had wasted some time.

Now, only one minute remained until twelve o’clock, but Wizard Beast—whether the true body or not—was already far from Beast. He did not know if he could reach Wizard Beast and destroy it in time, but with one last chance, Beast refused to give up. His twin wings beat, and his form shot toward Wizard Beast.

[Flame Breath] At that moment, Dragon Beast suddenly unleashed a fiery attack, striking toward Wizard Beast.

No one expected Dragon Beast, who had always lacked a presence, would perform such a feat at this critical moment. In that instant, Beast’s mind flashed to that rumored hidden setting.

But Beast knew this was no time for discussion. With a flicker of his figure, and Dragon Beast’s interception, he finally caught up to Wizard Beast. Thanks to Dragon Beast’s aid, he managed, in the final seconds, to eliminate Wizard Beast.

Upon death, Wizard Beast’s body dissolved into data, which spiraled through the air and landed in Beast’s hand, transforming into a key. This key was, as always, the so-called ticket.

Previously, when facing formidable foes, Beast almost always acted alone. There were rare occasions when Dragon Beast intervened, but only because the enemy numbers were overwhelming.

Truly, such a situation—where the enemy is just one, yet both Dragon Beast and Beast must strike together—is rare. In any case, if Wizard Beast could spread word of these events, it would be a source of pride.

“Click!” Moments after Beast obtained the key, the sky above him suddenly thundered violently. Then, a crack appeared overhead.

The fissure grew, ultimately shattering part of the sky. Within the broken expanse, a massive circular structure gradually emerged before everyone’s eyes.

As the circular building fully emerged and floated in midair, the sky returned to its original state. Without witnessing this, none would imagine the instance was revealed in such a manner.

In the next instant, the golden light traced a magic circle, enveloping both Beast and Dragon Beast.

“Boom!” The magic circle emitted a blinding golden light, then shot a golden pillar skyward. The top of the pillar connected perfectly with the circular building above. Immediately, Beast felt his body begin to float.

Gradually, Beast’s ascent quickened, and in the blink of an eye, he reached the underside of the circular structure, making contact with its lowest level. At first, Beast thought he would crash. To his surprise, he merged seamlessly within. When he regained awareness, his form was already within a vast plaza.

There were many people present. After all, twelve hours of waiting had led to this moment; how could the numbers be few? If one dared to guess, the participants here might constitute over ninety percent of the entire server’s population.

Aside from a handful unable to log in at the appointed time, nearly all were present. With so many people, not only was the crowd formidable, but chaos was inevitable.

Beast had no idea how Digimon Corporation would resolve this. Although the event was hastily assembled, they surely would not release it without sufficient confidence.
