To be honest, at first, Yibeast thought that this Omega Beast was, at most, a two-faced scoundrel. After all, he had explained everything at the outset. He believed things would proceed without any real trouble, but he was wrong. Unexpectedly, Omega Beast, without warning, ordered the Killer Beast to attack.

Fortunately, Yibeast’s soul, originating from a ninth-level ultimate Digimon—Yibeast: X Form—possessed a terrifying aura that was enough to suppress the Killer Beast. Otherwise, that sudden strike would have killed him outright, and his account would have been lost as well.

The reason Yibeast didn’t kill the Floramon was mainly because he saw that she had no murderous intent. The others, when Omega Beast manipulated Killer Beast into action, had a flash of killing intent in their eyes to some degree—especially the Eight-Legged Horse. Upon seeing Omega Beast make his move, he even considered ordering his own Pipe Fox to join in.

So, in the end, all of them were wiped out by his Digimon. Without the protection of Digimon, human players were nothing but trash.

“I hope this game has something that can increase the physical strength of human players,” Yibeast sighed, first collecting all the crystals, then moving to the side of the chest to loot its contents.

Yibeast said this because rookie-level Digimon battles weren’t all that brutal. But if the physical strength of human players never increased, then even the aftershocks from battles between champion or ultimate-level Digimon could easily annihilate them.

Moreover, Digimon existed in the game only because of their human partners, so players couldn’t just stand far away. If physical strength couldn’t be improved, the only solution would be for the game developers to give humans invincibility cheats.

[Congratulations, you have discovered a treasure chest. Would you like to open it?] As soon as Yibeast touched the chest, a panel appeared before him. Was that even a question? If he wasn't going to open it, why bother touching it?

After clicking to confirm, Yibeast opened the chest. Inside were a crystal sword, a crystal shield, a ring, and one hundred gold coins.

Chosen Child’s Ring (Excellent · Rare)
Type: Ring
Requirements: Human level 8 or above
This is the ring of a Chosen Child. The wearer can ignore damage from Digimon with a combat power of less than 300. Once equipped, it binds automatically. Unless the player who wears it removes it themselves, it will only drop upon the player’s death.

Yibeast looked at the ring, relief flooding his face. He had just been lamenting the frailty of human defense, and here was a ring to solve the problem. It was also fortunate that Omega Beast hadn’t opened the chest and equipped the ring first; otherwise, Digi-Yibeast might not have been able to kill him.

However, even if he could not kill the player, Yibeast could still deal with the Digimon. After that, with only the players left, they would have stood no chance of contesting the loot with him.

Beetlemon’s Sword (Excellent · Rare)
Type: One-Handed Sword
Requirement: Strength 120+ or Champion-level Digimon
Combat Power: +10–12
Strength: +3
Endurance: +3
Mega Impact: This is Beetlemon’s skill, with a 1% chance to trigger. When triggered, it inflicts damage equal to twice the wielder’s total combat power, up to a maximum of 1,000 combat power.
Durability: 20/20
This weapon was forged by Digimon aspiring to Vulcanusmon, god of the forge, using Beetlemon’s data. If a Digimon already possesses a sword-type weapon (including skill-based weapons), this weapon can be merged. If not, it can be used directly (assuming they can wield it).

Angelic Guardian (Excellent · Rare)
Type: Shield
Requirement: Strength 120+ or Champion-level Digimon
Combat Power: +10–12
Strength: +4
Endurance: +1

Angelic Protection: Can block one attack of less than 300 combat power. After one use, cannot be used again in the same dungeon or battle.
Durability: 20/20
This armor was forged with Angemon’s data by Digimon who revere Vulcanusmon. If a Digimon already has a shield-type weapon (including skill-based weapons), this can be merged. If not, it can be used directly.

It must be said, though this was a beginner dungeon, the first-clear rewards were anything but weak. Just Beetlemon’s Sword and the Angelic Guardian alone would increase his Digimon’s combat power by at least twenty points.

Not to mention the ten attribute crystals—that’s a hundred attribute points, equaling twenty-five combat power. After this battle, even if Digi-Yibeast couldn’t evolve to champion level, his combat power would reach at least 135. Even if he faced the previous Agumon Boss one-on-one again, his chances of victory would be high.

Next, Yibeast fed all ten attribute crystals to his Digimon—five increased Digi-Yibeast’s endurance to 101, while the other five boosted strength by two, agility by two, and intelligence by one.

Now, Digi-Yibeast’s stats were as follows: Strength 120, Agility 120, Intelligence 110, Endurance 110, and Combat Power 115. After equipping Beetlemon’s Sword and the Angelic Guardian, his combat power reached 135.

It could be said that Digi-Yibeast now stood at roughly 20% of the power Yibeast had in his own champion stage.

At that time, even as a champion Digimon, Yibeast was already more powerful than most other champions who didn’t hold back.

When Digi-Yibeast’s combat power hit 135, Yibeast also noticed a green energy bar had appeared on Digi-Yibeast’s interface. The full value of this bar was 100, but when Yibeast clicked it, it showed 115.

Upon examining the bar’s description, Yibeast learned it was an experience energy gauge, much like his own. Once filled, evolution was possible. At this point, Digi-Yibeast’s bar had already overflowed by 15.

However, it also stated that when the green energy bar turned red, it meant the Digimon’s potential had been fully tapped. Even if it stayed at the champion stage, its combat power would not increase further.

As for the method of evolution…
