"Who are you?"
"Hello, my name is Lu Feng." Lu Feng had always been polite; when someone asked his name, he would answer seriously.
"I don't give a damn who you are... Oh! I recognize you now, you're the guy who knocked me down this morning!" Ye Wuhua suddenly realized who Lu Feng was.
"That happened because you deserved it," Lu Feng admitted, nodding.
"Quite arrogant, aren't you! I haven't even settled the score with you for this morning, and now you're here trying to pick up girls—are you looking for trouble?" Ye Wuhua said angrily.
"No, your discomfort is your own doing," Lu Feng denied.
"You're something else!" Ye Wuhua pointed at Lu Feng, wanting to curse, but seeing Su Muyu beside him, he forced himself to be composed. "I'm in a good mood today, so I won't stoop to your level. I'm courting my girlfriend, none of your business—go take a hike!"
Su Muyu grew increasingly anxious hearing Ye Wuhua call her his girlfriend, especially with Lu Feng nearby; she worried Lu Feng would misunderstand.
"Girlfriend?" Lu Feng asked in surprise, glancing at Ye Wuhua, then at Su Muyu.
Su Muyu hurriedly shook her head, at a loss for words, unsure how to explain.
"My girlfriend, what of it?" Ye Wuhua stood with hands on hips, chin raised.
"Then this is my business," Lu Feng said seriously.
"You really want to pick a fight, huh?"
"I'm not picking a fight. It actually concerns me," Lu Feng replied.
"Fine! I'd like to hear how my dating has anything to do with you!"
Suddenly, Lu Feng reached out and wrapped his arm around Su Muyu's shoulders, drawing her close. "Because she's my fiancée."
A stir erupted!
Class had just ended not long ago, and clusters of students were leaving the building. The crowd around them instantly buzzed at Lu Feng's words.
Though university didn't explicitly forbid marriage, it was certainly not encouraged. Now, the twin campus belle of the medical school was claimed as someone's fiancée—far more provocative than calling her a girlfriend.
"Fiancée?" Ye Wuhua clearly didn't believe it.
Su Muyu, held by Lu Feng, was flustered. She wasn't used to refusing people, so she didn't push him away—just shrank her neck—and besides, what Lu Feng said wasn't exactly untrue. Unsure how to argue, she could only fret.
"To be precise, it's her father who wants her to marry me, but I haven't agreed yet," Lu Feng clarified.
"That's utter nonsense!" Ye Wuhua was furious, pointing at Lu Feng as he spoke to Su Muyu, "Muyu, did he do something to you? Tell me! I'll get someone to teach him a lesson!"
Su Muyu, fearing trouble, quickly shook her head.
But Lu Feng suddenly took her hand and said, "Don't talk to this quack. Let's go home; Assistant Chen is still waiting at the door."

Ye Wuhua immediately blocked their way, handed the flowers to Su Muyu, and said earnestly, "Muyu, I'm serious about you. Please take these flowers; I know white is your favorite."
Su Muyu didn't reach out, but Lu Feng did.
He took the bouquet of white roses and casually tossed it behind him. "Are you visiting a grave? Who gives white flowers? Let me tell you, Muyu's favorite color isn't white—it's pale yellow. But it's no surprise you don't know; Muyu never wears pajamas to school."
Pale yellow! Pajamas!
Lu Feng's words struck Ye Wuhua at every vulnerable spot.
Ye Wuhua felt his heart crushed, nearly exploding with rage.
Worse still, Su Muyu let herself be led away by Lu Feng, not resisting, just lowering her head and letting him hold her hand as they left.
...
Ye Wuhua was livid. He had pursued Su Muyu for over a year, always hoping to hold her hand or something.
Every time, Su Muyu would panic and call Su Muqing, and once the fierce older sister arrived, Ye Wuhua could only slink away.
There was one time Ye Wuhua invited Su Muyu out for dinner, and she couldn't find a way to decline.
That evening, the beautiful campus belle truly appeared, and Ye Wuhua was overjoyed, thinking Su Muyu only pretended to be proper at school and had finally fallen for him.
But as the drinks started, Ye Wuhua realized something was wrong.
It turned out the person who showed up wasn't Su Muyu at all, but Su Muqing.
Ye Wuhua had ordered plenty of alcohol, intending to get Su Muyu tipsy, but all the drinks were force-fed to him by Su Muqing, who held his mouth open. She even ordered two extra bottles of strong spirits and made him drink them all.
That night, Ye Wuhua ended up in the hospital for gastric lavage.
...
The more Ye Wuhua thought about it, the angrier he became. The image of Lu Feng holding Su Muyu made him want to rush up and beat him.
But fighting wasn't his forte, so he suddenly remembered something. On his drive home, he called a bespectacled classmate, asking him to send the video from that morning.
Ye Wuhua had a brilliant idea for revenge. After receiving the footage of Lu Feng rescuing the little girl, he found a tech-savvy student to edit it.
He trimmed the video, removing the beginning and end, making it look as though Lu Feng was randomly pressing and touching the little girl—pressing her feet, poking her chest, and even performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but cutting out the final scene where the girl revived.
Once the video was ready, Ye Wuhua uploaded it online and had it widely shared, with a headline: "Unknown student delays rescue at accident scene; girl's life hangs in the balance."
The video was skillfully edited. Each frame showed Lu Feng seemingly wasting time, accompanied by the mother's desperate cries and pleas, making it heartbreaking and stirring deep sympathy.
Within an hour, the video was shared tens of thousands of times, and calls for identifying the "Rescue Guy" surged across the internet.
Ye Wuhua, seeing the momentum, thought it wasn't enough, so he hired an army of paid posters to denounce Lu Feng online.
...

At nine o'clock that evening, Su Muqing lay on the small living room sofa, applying a face mask and browsing on her tablet.
She had been interning for two days, and every time she came home, she complained about being sunburned during midday emergency calls. So right after showering, she started her skincare routine.
As she scrolled through her feed, she suddenly saw a video, leaping up and shouting excitedly, "Sis! Come quick, our family's scoundrel is trending online!"
"What's going on?" Hearing her sister's shouts, Su Muyu walked over to take a look.
Su Muqing replayed the video.
In it, Lu Feng was seen stripping a little girl, randomly pressing and touching her, even removing her shoes and squeezing her feet hard, finally poking her heart with his finger.
The camera switched to a young mother pleading for help, her voice hoarse from crying, barely audible. The video editor had thoughtfully added subtitles.
Especially the moment when the mother asked Lu Feng if he was a doctor and pleaded with him not to delay her daughter's rescue—the audio was made crystal clear.
"I told you this pervert is trouble, see! Now he's been exposed," Su Muqing said gleefully.
"Don't say that. When someone goes into shock, you need to loosen their clothing for ventilation. Checking the eyes by opening the eyelids is to observe for pupil dilation. Squeezing the feet is stimulating the Yongquan point... Right! The Yongquan point connects to the heart and lungs; senior is incredible..." Su Muyu praised.
The same video, seen through different eyes, revealed completely opposite interpretations.
"Sis, stop defending him," Su Muqing pouted, pointing to the comments below. "Look, the experts replied: 'The patient is in shock, yet he doesn't perform CPR and just presses randomly—delaying the rescue for sure.'"
"And this one: 'This man is molesting a little girl, case closed!'"
"This cleaner comment is even funnier: 'I advise netizens not to judge just by the video—what if he's actually trying to save her? This is a paid post; please remove bracketed content before posting.'"
There were harsher comments too, such as "Rescue Guy drifting in a hearse, dancing on a grave! Ashes mixed with rice, surfing on coffins!"
And others who joked, "Rescue Guy livestreams mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, earning millions a month!"
But most commenters sympathized with the little girl, asking about her condition.
Of course, while expressing sympathy, they also condemned Lu Feng in the video.
Su Muyu grew angry seeing everyone online attacking Lu Feng, frowning as she posted: "This is actually a rescue; pressing the feet stimulates the Yongquan point, which connects the heart and lungs and greatly helps with CPR. If you don't believe me, look it up yourself. Also, the spot poked on the chest is the Tianchi point..."
Her reply was immediately drowned out by a flood of denunciations, barely leaving a ripple.
The few responses she received followed the same format: "Paid poster, don't let the door hit you on your way out!"
Not until the ninth reply did someone agree: "Passing by as a student from the Chinese Medical College—agree with your view! Too many paid posters online."
